Ordering your contact lenses online with Lenstore.co.uk can be done in three easy steps:
Getting hold of your prescription: only an appropriately qualified / registered Contact Lens Optician can prescribe you contact lenses. In order to get your contact lens prescription all you need to do is telephone your Optician and ask for it. They should be able to give you your prescription details over the phone (click here to see the details that you need to collect over the phone). If for some reason they can’t do this then ask them to e mail, fax or post your prescription to you. Your Optician has a legal duty to provide you with your contact lens prescription if you ask for it. They are not allowed to charge you for it so please don’t pay your Optician for this service. Once you have your prescription details, you’re ready to order contact lenses online.
Once you’ve got hold of your prescription you can order as many contact lenses as you need until it expires. Prescriptions are usually valid for a period of 12 months from the date you received it.
Warning: Think you know your contact lens prescription details? If you’ve been wearing your contact lenses for a while the chances are that you’ll know the key parts of your prescription (e.g. the power of your lenses and the brand). However, your full prescription has some additional details which any supplier of contact lenses needs to verify with your Optician (e.g. the base curve, diameter etc…). Please do not try to guess your prescription based on the contact lenses that you have in your possession. Be aware of any online provider that encourages you to do so.
Browse our store and select quantity of contact lenses and any accessories that you need. If you have any trouble finding your brand of contact lenses then please call our customer services team and we will be happy to help.
Your contact lenses will be dispatched to you within 5 working days of your order being placed.
If it’s your first order with Lenstore.co.uk we will verify your prescription with your Optician. As soon as the prescription is verified we will pick your lenses, pack them and post them off to you. Typically, if it’s your first order with Lenstore.co.uk, your lenses should be dispatched to you within 5 working days of your order being placed.
Your first order: we expect the delivery time on your first order to be slightly longer than for subsequent orders. This is because any online supplier of contact lenses that is based in the UK must verify your contact lens prescription with your Optician before sending your lenses out to you. According to a recent study (from the Journal of the American Optometry Association) around 35% of internet suppliers in the USA do not verify prescriptions which can lead to more deterioration in the health of their customer’s eyes than otherwise would have occurred. Be sure that your supplier is verifying your prescription. It’s critical for the health of your eyes.
