Many opticians sell lower end contact lenses at an inflated price, and you don’t get a choice as to what solution they supply. Furthermore, if you wear glasses sometimes and develop a surplus of contact lenses, they’re happy to still take your money every month. Then if your prescription changes you'll have paid for contact lenses you'll never use! Get a prescription and order contact lenses online. Then you can choose from all available lenses and solutions, and you can buy them as and when you need them. This will also work out far cheaper than paying a monthly direct debit to have them supplied through an optician. Where to buy online? I’ve tried a few online purveyors of contact lenses, and you’d well to beat lenstore.co.uk on price, and they have great service and speedy delivery.

Should Have Done This Earlier!
At my last eye test, my optician actually recommended I get my contact lenses online rather than through him! I'd always thought it wouldn't be worth the effort, especially after including postage costs. However, my order arrived after about a week (and apparently the first order can be delayed due to having to verify the prescription) and for me it works out about £10 a month cheaper, even after paying postage.

I also only use contact lenses occasionally and didn't want to make the bulk order that Tesco insist on. The website was easy to use with good tips, but when it came to payment there seemed to be a glitch. I rang and received great help from the team, the problem was resolved in 5 minutes, and I was advised that if I ordered before 2pm they would be sent the same day. The contact lenses arrived the next day, well packed so no damage, and exactly the right order. A great product, great service, and a great price. You Know They Are Good When Things Go Wrong
My first time ordering contact lenses online. I was upfront with my optician for my plan to order online, so the registration process was straightforward. Lenstore.co.uk delivered my toric lenses within a week. Their staff were responsive at all times to any queries I had. The whole process was great. I did have one problem however. I opened one of my new monthly contact lenses and it was faulty! This happens on occasion but in the past I simply got a replacement from my high street optician. A simple email to Lenstore.co.uk was all that was required and I have to say they were very responsive and courteous. They promised a replacement and apologised on behalf of the manufacturer. To their word the replacement lens was sent first class within a week. It is a pleasure to deal with such good people.
