How long can I trial contact lenses for?

Before you can try contact lenses, you will need to ensure that you have had an eye test and a full contact lens consultation. This will include an eye health check, a discussion on a lens type and suitability, and a training session on inserting and removing your lenses.

A trial lens is prescribed to you by your optician once they have assessed the health of your eyes and your lifestyle.

A trial lens normally lasts for a week, and you must return to your optician for a final fitting and follow up. At this point you are able to discuss whether you have found the lens suitable for your day to day needs. The optician will also be able to check your prescription to see if any improvements can be made to your vision.
