Go see life through a different lens with ACUVUE®

2020 has made us appreciate the little things in a big way. There’s stuff we can’t wait to do when life returns to normal, but for now, we’re holding on to the small treasures.

Whether you’re cooking up a storm in the kitchen or celebrating granny’s birthday over zoom, ACUVUE® contact lenses give you the freedom to focus on those special moments.

Here are 3 fun (and safe) ways to embrace the everyday joys in life.

Stay connected with friends and family

family party over zoom

Sharing a smile with a loved one or carrying out small acts of kindness are sure-fire ways to boost your daily happiness. Socialising face-to-face is limited to one person, but you can still meet one friend outside of your household. You’ll just need to make sure it’s outdoors, and you stay two metres apart.

Luckily, socialising safely has never been easier thanks to modern-day technology. If you don’t fancy another zoom quiz, why not schedule a virtual date with your friends and order in your favourite take away. Get your food to arrive at the same time and spend the evening catching up properly.

If you’re missing movie nights, host an online watch party via Netflix Party App. Or, for something more interactive, why not set up a virtual book club and discuss your favourite novels over snacks and a glass of wine.

Get crafty with the kids

Mum and daughter baking

Getting creative is a great way to fill the hours when going out isn’t an option. Pull up your sleeves and try your hand at painting, pottery or tie-dye. Making a family tree is a fun project for parents and little ones to do together and a great way for children to feel connected to their history.

With Christmas edging closer, it’s also the perfect time to have some fun with festive baking. Gingerbread men, chocolate tree toppers and Rudolph cakes will keep the kids entertained for hours. You can bundle them up in some pretty packaging for a lovely homemade present. Baking can be messy business, but stick with contact lenses and you won’t have to worry about your specs fogging up or falling down your face.

Go see your local area

Friends exploring the great outdoors

You may feel like you know your city inside out — but there’s always something new to discover. Shops and restaurants might be off-limits, but most of us live within walking distance of parks, woodlands or other natural spaces. To make your explorations fun for the kids, set up a scavenger hunt or research the hidden history in your area.

Another way to get a new perspective of your neighbourhood is by going out at a different time of day. Go for an early morning stroll or see the beauty of your favourite spot at golden hour.

†While contact lenses are perfect for an active lifestyle, it is important to avoid swimming with your contact lenses as it is not advised to expose your contact lenses to water. This is true for water sports and swimming but also everyday contact with water such as showering, bathing and using a hot tub.
* All ACUVUE Brand contact lenses have UV Blocking to help provide protection against transmission of harmful UV radiation to the cornea and into the eye. UV absorbing contact lenses are NOT substitutes for protective UV absorbing eyewear such as UV absorbing goggles or sunglasses because they do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area. You should continue to use UV absorbing eyewear as directed by your eye care professional.
