*All ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses have Class 1 or Class 2 UV-blocking to help provide protection against transmission of harmful UV radiation to the cornea and into the eye. UV-absorbing contact lenses are NOT substitutes for protective UV-absorbing eyewear such as UV-absorbing goggles or sunglasses because they do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area.

Type of lens:

1 Day Acuvue Moist Multifocal are daily disposable multifocal lenses that should only be worn if you need to correct presbyopia.

As daily disposable lenses they need to be removed and disposed of at the end of the day, with a fresh pack opened and inserted each morning - or as required (e.g. when playing sports) if you wear contact lenses infrequently.

Material:

1 Day Acuvue Moist Multifocal are made of Etafilcon A, a hydrogel used across the Acuvue Moist range. It has a high water content of 58%, which improves the wettability of these lenses, keeping eyes moist and comfortable.

Technology:

1 Day Acuvue Moist Multifocal lenses possess the following technologies:

Lacreon Technology - A proprietary Johnson & Johnson wetting technology that locks a moisture-rich ingredient in between the lens and eye. This keeps eyes hydrated, and lenses comfortable.

Intuisight Technology - A unique lens design technology that ensures an optimal fit while accounting for pupil size according to your age and prescription.

UV Protection - These lenses offer class 2 UV-blocking, which protects eyes from >98.8% of UV-B and >85.1% UV-A rays. Please note, you should still wear sunglasses when outdoors.

Availability for myopia, hypermetropia and astigmatism:

In addtion to the multifocal lens, Johnson & Johnson also offer 1 Day Acuvue Moist to correct short (myopia) and long-sightedness (hypermetropia).

For astigmatic eyes, 1 Day Acuvue Moist for Astigmatism is available.
