UV protection - Biomedics Toric contact lenses include a UV filter that helps to block both UVA and UVB rays making them a great choice for wearers who spend a lot of time outdoors, either for work or leisure - though it is still important to wear sunglasses to provide maximum protection.

Comfortable - Made with a hydrogel material, this lens is designed for enhanced comfort. Thanks to the thinner lens profile and high water content offered by Biomedics Toric, you can also enjoy fresh, hydrated eyes throughout the day.

Convenient - As a monthly-use contact lens, Biomedics Toric can be worn for up to 30 days, being replaced, cleaned and stored overnight after each day of use. This is ideal for wearers who prefer the routine of wearing and replacing the lenses for this period of time.

Biomedics Toric contact lenses are a monthly-use option for astigmatic prescriptions, designed and made by CooperVision.

Not sure that Biomedics Toric contact lenses are the right choice for you? You may want to consider alternative brands.

Before you try a different brand of contact lens, you will need to consult your optician to make sure that any alternative is suitable for you, and also fitted correctly.

Proclear Toric

Proclear Toric are a monthly-use contact lens from CooperVision designed for astigmatic prescriptions. These lenses benefit from a handling tint which makes them easier to see when putting them in or taking them out and also use phosphoryl choline (PC) technology, which allows water to become a part of the lens surface, providing increased comfort and moisture to prevent eye dryness. As a monthly-use lens, Proclear Toric can be worn for up to 30 days, being removed, cleaned and stored correctly overnight after each day of use.

Biofinity Toric

Biofinity Toric contact lenses are a monthly-use alternative designed for astigmatic prescriptions by CooperVision. These lenses have been designed with comfort in mind, retaining the high levels of comfort that you would ordinarily expect from daily contacts. Biofinity Toric also uses an Optimised Toric Lens Geometry, which provides optimal support and stability along with Aquaform Technology, which ensures comfort by retaining moisture and preventing harmful build-up of dirt and debris. Biofinity Toric contact lenses are a monthly-use option, meaning that they can be worn for up to 30 days, being removed, cleaned and stored overnight after each day of use. These contact lenses can also be used as continuous wear for up to 29 days, as long as you get approval from your optician first.

Are Biomedics Toric Discontinued?

No, Biomedics Toric contact lenses have not been discontinued and are still available.

What is a Toric Lens?

A toric lens is usually a soft contact lens that is designed to correct astigmatism. An eye with astigmatism has an irregularly shaped cornea, which means that light entering your eye struggles to come to a single focal point on the retina, blurring your vision. Toric contact lenses are designed to resolve this issue.

  • By Stephanie on 24 March 2019 Comfortable long lasting
  • By Richie on 30 June 2017 This is my favorite brand as they are comfortable and lasting.
  • By Heather on 20 June 2015 Very good quality for such a low price. However, I do find they dry out a bit when I wear them for long periods of time which didn't happen with my specsavers ones, but that may be my fault as I wear them for over 12 hours a lot of the time. Would still recommend though :)
